To protect themselves, customers sometimes order in larger lots and request earlier delivery dates than are truly needed. With our Supply Chain Management solution, these precautions are no longer necessary. Armed with the ability to accurately quote due dates, the sales force can provide greater value to customers by balancing their material flow. For example, a salesperson can now adjust a quarterly order of 300 units into 3 monthly shipments of 100 units or even 12 weekly shipments of 25 units each - exactly when the customer needs the units. This reduces the customer's inventory investment and benefits the company by smoothing material flow and reducing lead times. With our solution, salespeople soon realize that they are not selling products, but are actually selling plant capacity.
